Build your own powerful gaming system with the Intel NUC 13 Extreme Kit. This barebones kit features the modular Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element that houses a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 16-Core processor with integrated Intel UHD 770 Graphics. The two SO-DIMM slots can support up to 64GB of 5600 MHz DDR5 RAM. For storage options, there are three M.2 2280 slots. Gamers will be pleased to know that they will be able to fit a triple-slot 12" graphics card into the NUC 13 Extreme's PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. Gamers will have plenty of options for connecting to the internet for their online multiplayer games, such as a 10 GbE jack, a 2.5 GbE jack, and Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax). Other features include Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, RGB lighting, and dual 120mm fans for a streamlined thermal design. You can install Windows 11 on the NUC 13 Extreme. A US power cord is included.

13th Gen Intel Core Performance

The system houses the modular Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element, which features a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700K processor at 125W, nearly twice the base power of the previous generation. Its eight performance cores can be boosted up to 5.4 GHz while its eight efficiency cores handle background tasks.

Thunderbolt 4

The connector also transmits data via USB4 at up to 20 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort allows you to connect either one 8K monitor or up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 4 port.

The CPUs PCIe 5.0 x 16 is dedicated to the GPU, while the PCIe 4.0 x4 is dedicated to a single M.2 slot. The PCH provides two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 drive slots. All run at full speed.

In addition to the 3 m.2 slots, can I use internal 2.5" SSDs at the same time? If so, how many?

The Intel NUC 13 Extreme does not have any internal SATA drive connections.
