Description

The SHIELD Android TV Pro includes a remote control with a built-in microphone, which supports Google Assistant and Alexa functionality; the Google Assistant is built into the SHIELD Android TV Pro. A variety of apps are built-in for instant streaming.

Tegra X1+ Processor

The NVIDIA Tegra X1+ processor is designed to deliver fast performance. Using AI upscaling, it enhances HD video to near-4K resolution in real time for clear visuals. Two USB ports allow for storage expansion or peripherals, such as USB cameras, keyboards, controllers, and more. The SHIELD Android TV Pro has Plex Media Server is built-in, is SmartThings hub-ready, and supports AAA Android gaming and Twitch broadcasting thanks to its 3GB of RAM.

Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound deliver vivid picture quality and immersive audio with compatible equipment and source media.

The SHIELD Android TV Pro features Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity for convenient streaming, plus two USB ports for storage expansion. The included remote control has motion-activated backlit buttons, one of which is user-customizable. The remote also features voice control, Bluetooth, IR control for your TV, and a built-in lost remote locator.

Faq

WARNING: not allowed to complete setup without logging into a Google account and giving NVidia access to it. (Dealbreaker for STB?)

This is NVidia's process and there is no way around it.

Is the RAM expandable?

The internal RAM is not expandable.

Does it come with gaming remote ?

No, it comes with the streaming unit and a basic remote control. Gaming controllers are sold separately.
