How do you pair this with the Google Home?
You load up the Google Home app and tap add device. If the device is connected to the same WIFI as the Google Home then it will pop up on the list of devices to connect.
How do you stop this alarm from going off in the middle of the night?
If the alarm is going ff there is a reason, smoke, Carbon Monoxide, or a false alarm. You can always Silence false alarms with your smartphone or tablet.
I have a fireplace in my bathroom. Will the nest smoke alarm be okay and function in a sometimes steamy environment?
No. The steam will set off the smoke detector. rust me, it's an annoying thing to learn after you get the shampoo in your hair.
